Snow CrabThe two most common species of snow crab are the Opilio and the Baridi. Snow crabs are harvested from the clean, icy waters of Alaska and Canada. The white delicate meat is sweet and similar to King Crab. Snow crabs are generally marketed in clusters of 3 to 4 legs and a claw with shoulders. Whole legs are often sold with the shell scored for easy breaking. These are called "Snap 'N' Eats". All crab products are fully cooked before freezing.

Cooking Method

Cold Preparation DO NO PRETHAW. Place in boiling water for 3–4 minutes. Chill. Serve with favorite cocktail sauce. Can be served in the shell or meat removed for cocktails.
Broil Thaw snow crab split legs under refrigeration 1–2 hours. Brush legs with melted butter — broil 4–5 minutes. Serve.
Microwave

Do not pre-thaw. Retain snow crab legs in poly bag or cover with a damp towel to prevent moisture loss. Set timer for 5 minutes on defrost cyccle. Brush with melted butter. Season and Serve.
